  • What is Warmer Welcomes?

    Warmer Welcomes is a new loyalty alliance between Shangri-La’s Golden Circle and Taj InnerCircle.



    Members of both programmes enjoy:

    • Earning of points at member’s preferred currency.

    • Conversion of TIC points to Golden Circle Award Points.

    • Status Matching Benefits.

  • What benefits will be offered to the members?

    1. Members will be able to enjoy the perks of their elite status when they stay at any Shangri-La or Taj hotel with tier status matching.

    2. Members of either programme will now be able to earn award points in their preferred programme while staying with Shangri-La or Taj whether in Mumbai, New Delhi, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris, London, New York and other key destinations in the world.

    3. Members will be able to convert points to redeem awards between both programmes.

ENROLMENT & REGISTRATION

  • Do I have to be a member of both Golden Circle and Taj InnerCircle to enjoy the full benefits of the Warmer Welcomes alliance?

    Yes. Warmer Welcomes requires membership linkage in both the Golden Circle and the Taj InnerCircle programmes. An individual’s membership in both programmes must be under the same name. Individuals may sign up for membership of both programmes for free on the Golden Circle website http://www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com and Taj InnerCircle website http://tajinnercircle.tajhotels.com

  • How can I enrol to become a GC member or a TIC member?

    You can sign up for Golden Circle through the Golden Circle website http://www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com and can sign up for Taj InnerCircle through the Taj InnerCircle website http://tajinnercircle.tajhotels.com.

PRIMARY ACCOUNT

  • What is Primary Account?

    1. Your primary account will define your tier level reclassification every year. As a Golden Circle Jade or Diamond member, you are now also entitled to the Taj InnerCircle Gold or Platinum membership respectively. If you select Golden Circle as your primary account, your Taj InnerCircle tier level match will only be awarded when you maintain your Golden Circle Jade or Diamond tier level.

    2. Your primary account will define your tier level reclassification every year. As a Taj InnerCircle Gold or Platinum member, you are now also entitled to the Golden Circle Jade or Diamond member membership respectively. If you select Taj InnerCircle as your primary account, your Golden Circle tier level match will only be awarded when you maintain your Taj InnerCircle Gold or Platinum tier level.

  • When do I need to select my Primary Account?

    Warmer Welcomes participants will be required to select a primary account upon linking their Golden Circle and Taj InnerCircle memberships through either the Golden Circle website http://www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com or through the Taj InnerCircle website http://tajinnercircle.tajhotels.com.

  • Why do I need to select my Primary Account?

    The Primary Account is used to determine whether a Warmer Welcomes participant may renew their Golden Circle or Taj InnerCircle membership tier status obtained as a result of the tier match benefit, at the end of the relevant membership year.

  • How can I change my Primary Account after having linked my accounts?

    Your “Primary Account” cannot be changed after having linked your accounts.

LINKING YOUR ACCOUNTS

  • How do I link my Golden Circle account and Taj InnerCircle account?

    You can link your Golden Circle membership and Taj InnerCircle membership for Warmer Welcomes by logging into either your Golden Circle membership account or Taj InnerCircle membership account through the Golden Circle website http://www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com or through the Taj InnerCircle website http://tajinnercircle.tajhotels.com.

  • Can I start earning TIC Points on Eligible charges or GC Award Points for any Qualifying Stay at any Participating Hotels or enjoy any benefits of Warmer Welcomes immediately after linking my account?

    Warmer Welcomes participants will not be able to earn TIC Points on Eligible charges or Golden Circle Award Points for any Qualifying Stay at any Participating Hotels or enjoy any benefits of Warmer Welcomes until 48 hours after membership linkage is completed.

  • My attempt to link online for my both accounts failed. What can I do?

    If linking your accounts fails, please contact the Golden Circle member services or the Taj InnerCircle.

EARNING TIC POINTS AND GC AWARD POINTS FOR STAYS

  • How many Taj InnerCircle Points can I earn staying at a Shangri-La hotel?

    If a TIC member stays at any Shangri-La hotel, the member will earn 4 TIC Points per US$5 spend on Qualifying Room Rate and Qualifying Incidental Charges.

  • How many GC Award Points can I earn while staying at any Taj hotel?

    If a Golden Circle member stays at any Taj hotel, the member will earn 3 GC Award Points per US$5 Eligible charges incurred during a hotel stay.

  • Can I earn TIC points when I do a walk-in dining transaction at any Shangri-La hotel?

    No. The member cannot earn TIC points for a walk-in dining transaction at any Shangri-La hotel.

  • Can I earn GC Award Points when I do a walk-in dining transaction at any Taj hotel?

    No. The member cannot earn GC Award Points for a walk-in dining transaction at any Taj hotel.

  • On what transactions can I earn GC Award Points at Taj hotels?

    You can earn GC Award Points on the following spending for your Qualifying Stays after you’ve linked your Golden Circle and Taj InnerCircle accounts:

  • Can I earn GC Award Points for my stay at any Taj hotel before 27 March 2017?

    No. You cannot earn GC Award Points for any stay at Taj hotels before 27 March 2017.

  • Can I earn TIC Points for my stay at any Shangri-La hotel before 27 March 2017?

    No. You cannot earn TIC Points for any stay at Shangri-La hotels before 27 March 2017.

  • Can I earn both GC Award Points and TIC points for the same stay?

    No. You cannot earn both GC Award Points and TIC points for the same stay. You will have to specify at check-in whether you want to earn either GC Award Points or TIC points for the stay.

  • What decides that I earn GC Award Points or TIC Points for the stay?

    In order to earn GC Award Points or TIC Points, you must specify whether you wish to earn either GC Award Points or TIC Points for a hotel stay upon check-in.

  • What happens if I do not quote my membership number at the time of making the reservation?

    You will only be able to earn GC Award Points, TIC Points or receive the Warmer Welcomes benefits for hotel stays if the reservation includes your Golden Circle or Taj InnerCircle membership number.

  • I am a member of both Golden Circle and Taj InnerCircle loyalty programmes. I stayed at a Taj hotel after the Warmer Welcomes programme was launched but have not linked my accounts, can I earn points for this stay?

    No. You cannot earn points if you have not linked both the accounts at least 48 hours prior to check-in.

  • Can Golden Circle or Taj InnerCircle members accumulate qualifying nights and qualifying stays at partner hotels for their Golden Circle or Taj InnerCircle status if they opt to earn TIC points?

    Yes
    A Taj InnerCircle member could accumulate qualifying nights and qualifying revenue while staying at a Taj hotel while choosing to earn GC points.
    A Golden Circle member could accumulate qualifying nights and qualifying stays while staying a Shangri-La hotel while choosing to earn TIC points

  • Can Golden Circle Jade and Diamond members earn GC Award Points with tier bonus for their stay at Taj hotels?

    No. Tier bonus is not available for Golden Circle Jade and Diamond members to earn for their stay at Taj hotels.

  • Whom do I contact if I have not received GC Award Points or Taj InnerCircle Points for an eligible stay at either Shangri-La hotels or Taj hotels?

    GC Award Points will be credited to the member’s account within 2-4 weeks after a stay. Please contact the Golden Circle Member Services.

  • How is the membership status matched?

    1. GC Members: - Jade (GC) -> Gold (TIC)

      - Diamond (GC) -> Platinum (TIC)

    2. TIC Members: - Gold (TIC) -> Jade (GC)

      - Platinum (TIC) -> Diamond (GC)

  • I am currently a Taj InnerCircle Platinum or Gold member. How do I obtain the membership tier status from the tier match benefit?

    Please ensure that your Golden Circle account is linked to your Taj InnerCircle account. To link, you simply need to:


    • Log in to your Taj InnerCircle. Add your Golden Circle account number to your Taj InnerCircle account and link both accounts.

    • If you are not a Golden Circle member yet, please sign up for Golden Circle and link both accounts for status match.

  • I am currently a Golden Circle Jade or Diamond member. How do I obtain the membership tier status from the tier match benefit?

  • I am a Golden Circle Jade member but a Taj InnerCircle Copper member, what membership tier will I obtain from the tier match benefit after I have linked my accounts?

    Your Taj InnerCircle membership will be upgraded to the Gold Tier within 1 to 2 weeks

  • I am a Golden Circle Jade member but also a Taj InnerCircle Gold member, what membership tier will I obtain from the tier match benefit after I have linked my accounts?

    Both of your membership accounts will automatically extend for another membership year based on the date your accounts are successfully linked.

  • I am currently a Golden Circle Gold member without any membership with Taj InnerCircle. Can I still entitle to the benefits of the membership status match?

    No. You must be a member of either Golden Circle Jade or Diamond, or a Taj InnerCircle Gold or Platinum member to enjoy membership status matching with the Warmer Welcomes programme.

  • I have successfully linked both my Golden Circle and Taj InnerCircle memberships and have been upgraded to the Taj InnerCircle Gold tier. How can I maintain my Taj InnerCircle Gold status for the next membership year?

    Your Taj InnerCircle Gold membership will be maintained as long as you could maintain the respective tier in your selected primary account.

  • I have successfully linked both my Taj InnerCircle and Golden Circle membership for a membership status match benefit to Golden Circle Jade tier, and have been upgraded. How can I maintain my Golden Circle Jade tier status for the next membership year?

    Your Golden Circle Jade membership will be maintained as long as you could maintain the respective tier in your selected primary account.

  • What if I could not maintain the respective tier in my selected primary account after obtaining the membership tier status from the tier match benefit?

    The membership tier status obtained from the tier match benefit will then be downgraded to the respective tier under the normal tier qualification requirement of the Golden Circle or Taj InnerCircle programme.

2-WAY CONVERSION – CONVERTING BETWEEN GC AWARD POINTS TO TAJ INNERCIRCLE POINTS

  • What is the conversion ratio for Taj InnerCircle Points to GC Award Points?

    100 TIC Points equal 38 GC Award Points. All conversions must start from 100 points.

  • What is the conversion ratio for GC Award Points to Taj InnerCircle Points?

    100 GC Award Points equal 67 TIC Points. All conversions must start from 100 points.

  • What is the maximum point conversion?

    A member can convert up to 250,000 points from GC Award Points to TIC Points per calendar year, vice versa.

  • How do I convert my Taj InnerCircle Points to Golden Circle Award Points?

    Warmer Welcomes participants can initiate the conversion of TIC Points to GC Award Points online through the Taj InnerCircle website. It takes 7-10 business days for GC Award Points to be reflected to their accounts. Once a conversion transaction is initiated it cannot be cancelled.

  • How do I convert Golden Circle Award Points to Taj InnerCircle Points?

    Warmer Welcomes participants can only initiate the conversion of Golden Circle Award Points to TIC Points only online through the Golden Circle website and it takes 7-10 business days for TIC Points to be reflected to their accounts. Once a conversion transaction is initiated it cannot be cancelled.

  • Can the Taj InnerCircle member services do the conversion at the call centre?

    Yes the conversion from TIC Points to GC Award Points can be initiated at the Taj InnerCircle Call Centre.

  • Can the Golden Circle Member Services do the conversion at the call centre?

    Yes the conversion from GC Award Points to TIC Points can be initiated at the Golden Circle Call Centre.

  • When will my points expire from either of the programmes?

    GC Award Points will expire on an annual basis up to three calendar years (1 January to 31 December) after the end of the membership calendar year of accrual. Once expired, the GC Award Points cannot be redeemed for awards or other products/services.

  • How can I redeem my GC Award Points in a Taj hotel?

    Members will have to convert their GC Award Points to TIC points and then, they can redeem at any Taj hotel.

  • How can I redeem my TIC points in a Shangri-La hotel?

    Members will have to convert their TIC points to GC Award Points and then, they can redeem at any Shangri-La hotel.

  • Can I redeem my GC Award Points real time at a Taj hotel?

    No, members will not be able redeem GC Award Points real time at any of the Taj hotels.

  • Can I redeem my TIC points real time in a Shangri-La hotel?

    No, members will not be able redeem TIC point’s real time at any of the Shangri-La hotels.

MISSING GC AWARD POINTS AND TAJ INNERCIRCLE POINTS

  • What details are required for retro claims?

    Members should provide the following Claim Details to the host programme:


    • TIC membership no.

    • GC membership no.

    • Hotel

    • Reseration confirmation no.

    • Arrival and Departure Date

  • What should I do if I have not received my Taj InnerCircle Points or GC Award Points for an eligible stay even after couple of months from my stay date?

    The members can contact the Taj InnerCircle member services or the Golden Circle member services and claim their points, both parties only allow maximum 6 months claim through the course of the program.

  • I stayed at a Shangri-La hotel last week; I do not see the particular stay points reflected in my account? What should I do?

    Warmer Welcomes members should allow 2 to 4 weeks for GC Award Points or TIC Points earned as part of Warmer Welcomes to appear in their account before raising a claim for missing points.

  • I stayed at a Taj hotel last week; I do not see the particular stay points reflected in my account? What should I do?

    Warmer Welcomes members should allow 2 to 4 weeks for TIC points or GC Award Points earned as part of Warmer Welcomes to appear in their account before raising a claim for missing points.

  • Can I claim GC Award Points if I forgot to quote my membership number, at the time of reservation?

    Requests for missing GC Award Points and TIC Points can only be accepted if the Warmer Welcomes Participant’s membership number was quoted at the time of reservation and the membership card was presented at check-in.

  • How can I claim GC Award Points on the Golden Circle website?

    Warmer Welcomes members can claim missing GC Award Points on the Golden Circle website http://www.goldencircle.shangri-la.com by completing the “Claim Missing Points/Miles request form” or through the Golden Circle Member Services.

  • How can I claim TIC points on the Taj InnerCircle website?

    Warmer Welcomes members can claim missing TIC Points on http://tajinnercircle.tajhotels.com by completing the “Claim Missing Points request” or through the InnerCircle member services.

  • Can I claim missing GC Award Points one year after my stay date?

    Missing GC Award Points requests will only be accepted if made within six months of the check-out date.
